The Company is committed to playing an important role in arts education:

- Since 1998 the Company’s production of The Nutcracker has offered educational performances to over 15,000 school students.

- Pennsylvania Council of the Arts, where Artistic Director Joanne Arduino represents Ballet Theatre of Scranton as a rostered artist.

- The Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit #19, the company works extensively in the school districts throughout Lackawanna, Luzerne and Susquehanna counties presenting their “Discovering Dance Program” and residencies of “Just Dancin’ Broadway”‘ and “Children’s Holiday Dance Theatre”.

- Ballet Theatre of Scranton has conducted numerous lecture series at the University of Scranton, Keystone College, Marywood University, and Lackawanna College .
